PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I certainly hope that each of you had a chance to relax, recharge, and enjoy quality time with your family and friends. I am elated to serve as your HEA President this school year. I am striving to make a difference by offering workshops, Chew and Chat Sessions, and monthly meetings that would be beneficial to you and keep you aware of information on the local and state level. Along with our Uniserv Director, Adam Keller, we are going to work as a team to make this a pivotal year in Huntsville City Schools. HEA wants to do everything it can to support all of you this year. We are committed to our public schools and believe that every child deserves the opportunity to an education that is provided in a safe environment that meets their individual needs in every way. What you do is the future of everything! Everyone of you have my utmost respect. I am proud to say that I am your colleague.

As we enter this new school year, I want you to know that HEA will be engaging in conversations regarding a positive mindset and strong unified association. Our mission is to advocate for all professionals, unite our members, fulfill the promise of public education, and prepare all the students to succeed in a diverse and global world.

I encourage you to become active in HEA. HEA has many opportunities for you to utilize and support the organization. You may become involved by volunteering for a committee, recruiting members in your building, and reading our monthly newsletter. I am a strong believer working together makes a difference in the lives’ of students and professionals. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact the office and leave a message and we will get back with you as soon as we can. Make your VOICE heard. Put your ideas into motion. Be a leader.
